Adulting 101: The Art of Writing a Thank-You Note

Learn how a simple thank-you note can make a lasting impression, strengthen relationships and open doors to new opportunities in college, your career and everyday life.

Join us from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, and Thursday, November 19, in the Student Lounge on the Main Campus for an interactive workshop focused on the art of writing thoughtful, sincere and professional thank-you notes.

This workshop will help you understand when to send a thank-you note, whom to thank and what to say following job interviews, career fairs, scholarship awards, internships, networking events and acts of kindness. You'll also learn how to choose between handwritten notes and emails, avoid common mistakes and express appreciation in a way that helps you stand out. Students who attend the workshop and successfully write a thank-you note will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a prize! This event is open to all students and is hosted by the Student Success Programming Committee.
